Sharpen edges first. Remove any rust or oxidation from the edges by sharpening the skis.
Before applying BLINK WAX clean the ski base of snow, water, debris, dirt, grime, file shavings, etc. We recommend using base cleaner and fiber cloth for ski bases.
If the skis have wax built up on the base, use a pastic scraper and brush to remove excess wax. Then repeat sleaning the base with base cleaner and cloth.
Apply Blink ALPINE SUPER WAX ONE paste wax. Using an applicator sponge, dab the sponge into the paste wax, so a small amount transfers to the sponge. Smear over the base. Then using a short cicular motion repeatedly rub-in the paste wax, driving it down into the ski. Use pressure to help drive the paste wax into the base. Repeat as needed until the ski base and edges have a thin oily sheen. (See picture below).
Keep the skis in a warm dry space overnight, allowing the ski to absorb the wax overnight into the base for enhanced all day glide.
No Ironing, brushing, or scrapping necessary. It is not lost on us how much easier it is to maintain skis using BLINK Alpine’s Paste Wax. We hope this enables you to tend to your ski base more frequently.
Applying SUPER WAX ONE Prior to Race Start
BLINK ALPINE SUPER WAX ONE may be applied prior to race start to enhance glid/speed. To apply before the start…
Clean the base of the ski of snow, water, or dirt using a cloth or paper towel.
Using the applicator sponge, dab a small amount of paste wax onto the sponge, smear across the base of the ski. Using circular motion massage wax into the base.
Flip skis over and race!

Yes. BLINK Alpine wax products are fluoro-free and compliant with current FIS regulations.
BLINK Alpine waxes are fluoro-free and contain no fluorinated compounds such as PFAS, PFOS, or PTFE (Teflon). This ensures compliance with current FIS regulations.
BLINK Alpine formulations do not use PFAS or PFOS compounds, which are part of a large class of fluorinated chemicals sometimes referred to as “forever chemicals.” These substances were historically used in some ski wax products but are now prohibited in FIS competition.
Our waxes are developed using non-fluorinated ingredients designed to deliver strong glide performance while meeting modern environmental and competition standards.

Yes. BLINK Alpine wax is safe for normal handling. However, as with any ski wax product:
Avoid prolonged skin contact.
Avoid eye contact, wax may cause irritation. If I contact occurs, wash with water.
Wash hands after application.
Avoid inhaling dust or particles during brushing.
Common sense care.

BLINK Alpine wax is a high-performance rub-on paste wax system designed to improve ski glide while simplifying daily ski maintenance. Our wax is engineered for racers, recreational skiers, and technicians who want fast application without the need for a hot wax iron.
-
Application is quick and simple:
Start by Cleaning and Drying the Skis.
Apply a thin layer directly to the ski base.
Spread evenly across the running surface.
Cork firmly to generate friction heat and bond the wax to the base.
Optional: lightly brush with a nylon brush for maximum glide.
Skis are ready to use immediately.

We recommend SUPER WAX BUTTER or SUPER WAX BASE for long term storage or travel.
For long-term storage, make sure no moisture is present. We recommend allowing the ski to dry in a warm, dry, space, before applying SUPER WAX BASE or SUPER WAX BUTTER.
Apply Wax liberally to base, edges, and side walls. Apply additional wax to the tails. -
We are a small business with over four generations of ski area operations, ski racing, and ski instruction behind us. Our products are developed by people who have spent their lives on snow and understand what skiers actually need from their equipment.
We know skis, we know racing, and we know speed! Each batch of BLINK Alpine wax is produced by hand in small batches, allowing us to maintain strict quality control throughout the process. This also allows us to experiment more and to taylor wax for specific needs or events by adjusting ingredient ratios or cooking methods.
We focus on high-quality ingredients and careful formulation, sourcing materials responsibly whenever possible and blending them in ways designed to improve glide, durability, and ease of application.
Our goal is simple: build products that make skis faster, easier to maintain, and more enjoyable to use for racers, technicians, coaches, ski instructors, ski patrol, and everyday free skiers alike — products that help keep your skis in optimal condition.
BLINK Alpine products are fluoro-free and FIS compliant, reflecting our commitment to both performance and environmental responsibility.

Yes. All BLINK Alpine products are fluoro-free and compliant with current FIS regulations.
We only use ingredients necessary to produce the fastest race waxes available. We avoid cheap filler, softeners, or hardeners that have become common practice in the corporate ski wax manufacturing companies.
Our mission is to produce the fastest FIS compliant race waxes possible, while being environmentally responsible - we do not see these two goals as being mutually exclusive — Only a challenge for us to do our homework, research, and to work with our suppliers. -
Yes, all BLINK ALPINE Waxes are made from low toxcity ingredients. If you’ve handled bike chain lube, then you’ve been exposed to much higher concentrations of toxins than any ingredient in BLINK Alpine Wax. Tho we do not reveal our formula, BLINK Alpine is FIS Compliant and Environmentally friendly, we are working on 3rd party validation. More soon.

At this time, the specific ingredients and formulation used in BLINK Alpine wax are maintained as a proprietary trade secret.
We are currently working with an independent third-party laboratory to verify that our products meet FIS fluoro regulations. This testing ensures that BLINK Alpine wax remains fluoro-free and compliant with current competition standards.
We will share additional information with our racing community as the validation process is completed.
